ARGEL BONDOC MASANDA is a 32-year-old Assistant Professor IV and a Guidance Counselor in Central Luzon State University in Science City of Munoz, Nueva Ecija, Philippines. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology in 2009 and a Master of Science degree in Guidance and Counseling in 2014 from the same University. Currently, he is a candidate for the degree Doctor of Philosophy in Psychology major in Forensic Psychology at Far Eastern University, Manila, Philippines. He took up two board examinations in 2014 and became a Registered Guidance Counselor and a Registered Psychometrician in a single year. He teaches various subjects in psychology, guidance counseling, and values education and serves as National Review Lecturer for psychometrician board examination across the Philippines.

He is a prominent resource speaker and has already delivered over 200 lectures and presentations in various capacities in the fields of mental health, psychology, gender and development, and guidance and counseling across the Philippines and various international platforms in Singapore, India, Taiwan, New Zealand, Malaysia, South Korea, and the Czech Republic. As a researcher, he has already published five papers in national peer-reviewed scientific journals and four papers in internationally-indexed high-impact journals.  He is also an author of 3 books with the latest one in mental health entitled “Same world, different view: a practical guide towards a flourishing wellbeing” and singlehandedly authored a 2-volume Comprehensive Reviewer Books for psychometrician.

Young as he is, he already received major accolades throughout his career, including 2 Best Research Awards from the ASEAN Regional Union of Psychological Societies and the Singapore Psychological Society in March 2015 in Singapore; Best Paper Award during the 2015’s review of CLSU R&D Project; 3rd Best Research Paper during the National Gender and Development Research Congress; a Most Outstanding Alumnus Award from his High School alma mater, and a recipient of the prestigious TOYNE Award (The Outstanding Young Novo Ecijanos) by the Provincial Government of Nueva Ecija in September 2017. He is also a Finalist in 2018’s search for The Outstanding Young Men (TOYM) of the Philippines. He is happily married and a proud father of 2 beautiful daughters.
